Between the Buried and Me

Between the Buried and Me is a band from North Carolina which focus heavily on a progressive musical style as well as a variety of extreme metal elements.

The band was founded in early 2000 by vocalist Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr. and guitarist Paul Waggoner, whose prior project was metalcore band Prayer for Cleansing. Since that time, the band has undergone many lineup changes.Currently, the band contains two members from fellow North Carolina band Glass Casket, Dustie Waring on guitar and Blake Richardson on drums. This has caused some question as to the future of Glass Casket, although both deny claims that Glass Casket will break up anytime soon, as the band’s other members are currently busy with college and jobs.

Burzum is the solo project of Varg Vikernes (born Kristian Larsson Vikernes, AKA Greven Grishnackh/Count Grishnackh, currently legally named Varg Qisling Larsson Vikernes). The band was initially known as Uruk-Hai, Varg Vikernes’ first band which he formed in 1988-89. Jeff Loomis

Jeff Loomis was the lead guitarist for the ground breaking metal band Nevermore. A player of many influences and styles, Loomis is often seen as one of the world’s most talented and gifted metal guitarists. Upon A Burning Body was started by accident “A Side project gone wrong.” 

These San Antonio, Texas natives mix brutal breakdowns with catchy two steps and heavy blast beats. After changing many members over time, they finally found a concrete line up.
